Sonia Fernández Mañas is a specialist in business development, internationalization, and industrial projects, with over 10 years of experience leading strategic projects and international partnerships to drive competitiveness and innovation in the industrial sector. As Director of the Projects and Partnerships Unit at amec (an association of internationalized industrial companies with over 350 members), she leads initiatives that promote digital transformation, industrial sustainability, and ecosystem development, fostering international alliances and sustainable growth strategies. With extensive experience in cluster formation and industrial ecosystem development, Sonia has driven projects that promote business collaboration and strengthen value chains. Her international background includes market expansion support and assisting companies in their internationalization processes. Additionally, she is a board member at ANIMA Investment Network, supporting economic cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean region, and a guest lecturer at the University of Barcelona and the University of Girona.
