Amable de Jesús Hernández is a distinguished Honduran professional from San José de Colinas, Santa Bárbara. He holds a law degree from the Centro Universitario Tecnológico de Honduras (CEUTEC) and a Master’s in Labor Law from the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana (UNITEC). With over 20 years of experience in public administration, he served as a municipal mayor, gaining a deep understanding of local development challenges and opportunities, always maintaining a close connection with the community. For the past three years, he has been the Executive Director of the Instituto Nacional de Jubilaciones y Pensiones de los Empleados y Funcionarios del Poder Ejecutivo (INJUPEMP), a position he holds by mandate of the President of the Republic. In this role, he has leveraged his extensive experience in public administration to lead one of the country’s largest pension institutes, achieving significant progress in financial sustainability and improving the well-being of contributors and retirees.
