Mr. Shawn Modise, Acting CEO of the Northern Cape Economic Development Agency, is a seasoned Portfolio Manager with expertise in Project Management, Quantity Surveying, and Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs). With 15 years in the public sector—nine spent in Treasury facilitating PPPs—he has successfully led high-profile projects across transportation, infrastructure, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), and Industrial Parks. His strong technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership skills enable him to manage multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. Well-versed in project lifecycles, risk and change management, and stakeholder engagement, he navigates complex project environments effectively. Currently, he leads the transition of mega projects in the Northern Cape, spearheading the Northern Cape Industrial Corridor. This initiative connects the Gamagara Mining Belt to the Boegoeberg GH2 Cluster, a key Western SADC export hub for GH2 aggregation and dispersion. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management and a National Diploma in the Built Environment.
