Razan Salman is the Senior Economy and Government Reporter at CNN Business Arabic, who works on delivering regional and global news in a clear and visual way across all platforms. Prior to joining CNN Business Arabic, Razan spent over three years as an Acting Bureau Chief and a Senior News Correspondent based in Beirut - Lebanon, for the German international broadcaster Deutsche Welle. She also spent six and a half years working as a S Producer and segment Reporter for BBC while based in Beirut, where she researched, produced, wrote, and recorded a series of news segments and programs. Razan also worked as a media trainer with BBC Business Development. Razan’s interest in government news and policies led her to begin her professional career working on a project between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lebanon and UNDP on a conference about cluster munitions that took place in Beirut in 2011. Razan also holds a Masters' degree in Business Law (LLM) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Affairs, both from Lebanese American University.
