Ricardo Jaime De Carvalho is an Angolan born Economist with vast experience and knowledge in the Special Economic Zone and Investment Promotion worlds. A proficient speaker of Portuguese and English, Ricardo holds a degree in Finance and a Post Graduate Diploma in Economic Development and Corporate Entrepreneurship. He has risen the ranks at the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone, Angola’s most prominent SEZ and one of the nation’s key players in the Economic Diversification agenda implemented by the Government, holding positions such as Senior Business Analyst, Head of Strategic Planning and Investment Portfolio Division and now currently the Director for Business Affairs and Development. Currently holding the title of Director for Business Affairs and Development of the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone he has been spearheading the institution’s foreign business policy agenda which has culminated with the election of the Zone as Member of the Board of Directors of the prestigious World Free Zones Organization where the mission is focused on promoting collaborative practices within the business environment at a national and international level incorporating best practices that will promote sustainable economic prosperity and social development whilst fostering the free flow of commerce and opportunity between Africa and the world. One of Angola’s young and driven leaders with the dream of leaving a positive mark and making the world a better place for future generations.
