Dr. Manuel Francisco Pedro is a senior executive with 15 years of experience in the financial sector and has led projects that directly contributed to the funding of key Angolan developmental programs. A proficient speaker of Portuguese, English and French, he has noteworthy skills in business negotiations as he was part of negotiation on double taxation agreements with different countries, negotiation of financing agreements and portfolio management with the World Bank, African Development Bank and other regional and international organizations. Dr. Pedro holds a degree in Economics (2008) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Economic Policies and Development (2015) from the Faculty of Economics at Angola´s prestigious Agostinho Neto University. Having held the position of the Director of the International Relations Office of the Ministry of Finance of Angola from 2017 to 2019, Dr. Pedro was responsible for promoting and coordinating the relationship between the Ministry of Finance and international financial institutions, regional organizations, and international organizations (World Bank, International Monetary Fund, European Nations Investment Bank, European Investment Fund, European Union, SADC, African Union, African Development Bank and other international organizations) in the economic and financial fields; he participated in the elaboration of the implementation of international policies in the field of public finance; he participated in the preparation and monitoring of the implementation of exchange policies, international institutions in the field of public finance; and held the position of Head of Debt Negotiation Mission with Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo, São Tomé and Principe, Guiné Bissau, and Chad. His previously appointed seats give him the acumen to add value and contribute to the fulfillment of the ZEE´s strategic goals as he plans to strengthen the investor/shareholder relationship creating more connectivity within and outside the organization.
