Sameep exhibits a high degree of erudition, resourcefulness and commitment to work and thrives on challenges that make him walk the tight rope. Owing to his warm and empathetic personality and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, he enjoys huge mass appeal whether he is walking with the people or leading them. To take forward the illustrious political legacy of his grandfather former Prime Minister of India Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, he has also ventured into politics and is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party. He also serves as Chairman, the Indian Institute of Governance and Leadership (IIGL), President, the Confederation of Young Leaders (CYL), Vice Chairman, the BRICS Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BRICS CCI) and President, BRICS CCI Young Leaders. Sameep Shastri has been at the helm of organising numerous national, and international congresses and conventions on leadership and governance with special focus on nurturing young leadership. He has implemented many programmes at the global level to advocate the need for employment-centric and skill based vocations in order to better quip the youth for future challenges with respect to our ever-evolving global economy. To this end, the organizations he is associated with have organised many programmes promoting Youth Empowerment and Sustainable Development under his leadership and in partnership with the embassies of China, Brazil, Russia, Norway, Serbia, Bolivia, Venezuela, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, Guatemala, Botswana, Peru, Czech Republic and South Korea. Mr. Sameep is a columnist for several reputed journals, dailies and magazines. In addition, he serves on the Advisory Boards of various organisations and institutions. He has also served as the President of the Indian Student Association for the year 2010 - 11 during his post-graduation in Oxford, United Kingdom.
