Ahmad Alnafessah is a Smart Cities Advisor at the Saudi Authority for Data and Artificial Intelligence (SDAIA). He is dedicated to driving innovative smart city initiatives that enhance urban living, sustainability, and economic growth. Currently, he leads the SASO Smart Cities Standard working team. Previously, Ahmad served as an Artificial Intelligence Lead at the C4IR World Economic Forum Affiliate centers. With over 16 years of experience in business development, innovation, and strategic planning, he has a proven track record of collaborating with city officials, stakeholders, and partners to create and execute data-driven strategies. His expertise lies in artificial intelligence, big data, IoT, and digital twins, which he leverages to build smarter and more livable cities in Saudi Arabia. Ahmad holds a Ph.D. in AI and Big Data from Imperial College London and is passionate about using technology and data to address real-world challenges and create positive social impact.
