Dr. Yu Yuan, Founder of the Globalized Intelligent Virtualized Economy (GIVE) Initiative, is a visionary leader, entrepreneur, and scientist specializing in multimedia, virtual reality, metaverse, and digital economy. He has served in key leadership roles across various professional organizations, including President of the Metaverse Acceleration and Sustainability Association (MASA), Treasurer and Board Director of the Metaverse Standards Forum (MSF), Honorary President of the Japanese International Metaverse Association (IMA), Vice President and Board Director of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and President of the IEEE Standards Association. He holds Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. degrees in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.
