Ambreen Iftikhar is a versatile public administration professional with 31 years of diversified experience to her credit. She is a senior civil servant and belongs to the Inland Revenue Service of Pakistan. She holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of the Punjab and a Masters Degree in Public Management from Flinders University of South Australia. Apart from working in the tax department in Pakistan, Ambreen has also served as Director Research /M&E in the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission of Pakistan, as Director Development in the Ministry of Human Rights (Pakistan), and as Commercial Counselor in the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris, France. She also worked on a short project in the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (Government of South Australia), in Adelaide, under sponsorship of the prestigious Endeavour Executive Awards of the Government of Australia. Ambreen was the focal person from Pakistan in the 4th Gender Focal Point Conference organized in November 2019 by CPGAP in Hanoii, Vietnam. She is presently working in a senior management position as Executive Director General ( Investment Reforms and Policy at the Board of Investment.) Her work entails close engagement with international donor partners including FCDO, the World Bank and Asian Development Bank, for the purpose of facilitating various Investment-related reform interventions
