Abdalla Alobeidli Director of Policies and Investment Legislation Management – Ministry of Investment, UAE Abdalla Alobeidli is the Director of Policies and Investment Legislation Management at the UAE Ministry of Investment. In this role, he spearheads the formulation and execution of policies and legislative frameworks that enhance the UAE's investment climate. His work ensures the UAE remains competitive and aligned with global economic trends through a robust regulatory environment and strategic international partnerships. Key to his responsibilities is the initiation, negotiation, and finalization of bilateral and multilateral agreements, including Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). Abdalla is also leads and participates in negotiations for Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs). He plays a pivotal role in fostering cross-border investments by ensuring that both sovereign wealth funds and private sector entities reap the benefits of these agreements. Abdulla actively represents the Ministry in international forums such as WAIPA, OECD, and the G20, advocating for the UAE's investment interests and contributing insights to shape global investment policies. His work also involves collaboration across ministries to streamline investment strategies, enhance legislative processes, and ensure effective policy implementation. In addition to policy management, he oversees family business and high-value investor engagement, nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to promote sustainable and large-scale investments in the UAE. His efforts extend to supporting sovereign wealth funds, including ADQ, ADIA, and Mubadala, by identifying synergies and aligning their initiatives with the nation's economic priorities. Previously, Abdulla held senior roles at the Ministry of Finance, where he managed critical financial relations, developed innovative policy mechanisms, and represented the UAE in high-level international meetings, including the World Bank and IMF. His expertise spans economic diplomacy, financial regulations, and fostering partnerships to attract foreign investments and establish strategic alliances. Abdalla holds a Master of Arts in Diplomacy from the American University in the Emirates and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from the American University of Sharjah.
