His Excellency Shamis Khalfan Al Dhaheri is the second Vice Chairman - Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI). In his current role at the Abu Dhabi Chamber, H.E. Al Dhaheri drives initiatives that enhance the Emirate’s economic growth and foster diverse business opportunities for local and international corporations in Abu Dhabi and leading the transformation and restructuring efforts of the Chamber’s operating model. A seasoned business leader with a proven track record of transformative projects for over two decades, H.E. serves as the Vice Chairman & Group Managing Director of Ali & Sons Holding, a leading Abu Dhabi-based conglomerate. He oversees the Group’s investments across various sectors, including automotive, real estate, energy, industrial, retail, and construction. Under his leadership, Ali & Sons Holding has achieved significant milestones, such as increasing shareholder value, implementing robust governance practices, and fostering a culture of talent development. Prior to joining Ali & Sons Holding, Al Dhaheri worked at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), the leading diversified energy group, where he managed multi-billion, large-scale infrastructure projects with a focus on structural integrity, resource efficiency, and environmental impact, aligning with the UAE's vision for sustainable growth. Al Dhaheri holds a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of London, where he developed a strong foundation in structural engineering and sustainable urban development. His educational achievements were recognised by the late H.H Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, for Distinguished Academic Performance.
