Mr. Charles Yang-Sheng Liu founded HAO Capital in 2003, a private equity firm investing in growth companies in China. He has been a regular contributor to BBC, CNBC, Bloomberg, Al Jazzera and CGTN on Global and Chinese economic issues. Mr. Liu served on the Board of Directors of Applied Materials Inc. from 2004 to 2008. Born in Taiwan, Mr. Liu graduated from Princeton University with a B.A in Economics in 1972 and attended the Juris Doctor Program of NYU School of Law. Prior to forming HAO Capital, Mr. Liu was Managing Director of Lazard Asia in China from 1991-1999. From 1975 to 1991, he served in various capacity in the United Nations system of organizations, principally on global economic matters and development projects in the developing countries.
