Halima Jumani is the Director and a member of the founding family of Kibsons, an award-winning online home delivery service specializing in distributing fresh, healthy food directly from market to door for thousands of UAE residents. Halima has been with Kibsons for over ten years, witnessing the company’s growth and leading its expansion by navigating the practical challenges of implementing various projects and initiatives in operations and trading. Today, she oversees all finance and operations at Kibsons, managing a team of over 1,500 employees and processing more than 35,000 orders weekly. Recently, Kibsons' e-commerce platform has received several accolades and awards, including the BBC Good Food Awards, RetailME Awards, Entrepreneur Middle East, Arabian Business, and Emirates Woman, for leadership, innovation, customer service, and being recognized as the best grocery delivery service in town. Kibsons' e-commerce division is committed to sustainability and strives to reduce its carbon footprint wherever possible. The e-commerce fulfillment center is a solar-powered facility with state-of-the-art water recycling technology, as well as a robust system for delivery box recycling and organic waste composting. Additionally, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is at the forefront of everything Kibsons does. Halima is particularly proud to work with several charities and initiatives, raising funds to help those less fortunate around the world. To date, Kibsons has raised and donated more than AED 100,000 to Gulf for Good, Médecins Sans Frontières, and Dubai Cares. The company continues to support various worthwhile causes internationally. Halima graduated from the London Business School (UK) with an MBA. While based in the UK, she worked as a Project Analyst in the Pooled Funds Division at Barclays Global Investors. After graduation, Halima moved to Dubai, where she worked at GE as a Six Sigma Black Belt, leading and executing projects to drive performance improvements and enhance key business and customer processes within Employee and Financial Services. Halima is also a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA, UK). Prior to joining the full-time MBA program, she worked in Audit and Assurance at KPMG in Dubai for almost five years, where she developed her knowledge of best practices across a diverse range of industries. When she’s not working, Halima enjoys spending time with her family, particularly her three children, aged 17, 23, and 24. Good nutrition, health, and fitness are integral to their family routine, with all three children passionate about sports. Each of them has had the honor of representing Australia in junior squash at international tournaments across the globe.
