Since 2018, His Excellency Rashed Abdulkarim Al Blooshi, is the Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED), the catalyst for economic growth and diversification, regulates the business sector, and leads economic initiatives to accelerate the emirate’s transition to a diversified, sustainable, knowledge based and innovation driven economy. H.E. Rashed Al Blooshi started his career at the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), where he held many roles, culminating to be ADX’s CEO in 2012. At the helm, he led initiatives to increase scope of products and services provided by the exchange, which supported enhancing Abu Dhabi’s attractiveness as an investment hub. In his current role at ADDED, H.E. Al Blooshi oversees the development and implementation of strategies, policies and initiatives, based on the latest research and statistics, adoption of best practices, advanced technologies, and insights of global expertise. H.E. supervises initiatives to enhance the global competitiveness of Abu Dhabi’s business ecosystem, ease of doing business, and attraction of local and foreign investments to priority clusters. H.E. is also leading initiatives to further strengthen relations with local and international partners, ensuring principles of innovation, transparency, and knowledge-sharing are followed to enhancing the business ecosystem and Abu Dhabi’s status as preferred destination for talents, businesses, and investments.
