Zubair Ali, the first elected Mayor of Peshawar, is a visionary leader dedicated to transforming the city into a model of modernization, sustainability, and inclusivity. Holding a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Peshawar, he was honored with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan for his outstanding public service Since taking office, Mayor Zubair Ali has spearheaded major infrastructure and social uplift projects, including water supply schemes, road and street development, basic health units, and the solarization of religious and worship places for both minorities and Muslims. His leadership has also introduced skills training programs for youth and transgender individuals, fostering economic empowerment and social inclusion. With a strong commitment to progressive governance, urban security, and sustainable development, he continues to drive Peshawar’s transformation into a vibrant, future-ready city while preserving its rich heritage.
