Abdinassir Sagar is a Program Manager at the United Nations Innovation Technology Accelerator for Cities (UNITAC) lab in Hamburg, Germany. He has extensive experience in sustainable development, policy governance, urban innovation methods, and emerging technologies such as smart cities, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. Before joining the UN, Abdinassir worked as a management consultant for professional services firms in Canada, including two of the Big Four firms, advising clients in both the private and public sectors on technology-related transformation projects. He holds an MBA from the University of Alberta's School of Business, specializing in public policy. He is currently pursuing a PhD at Maastricht Graduate School of Governance examining the value of e-government for fragile states.
