ExNihilo Ventures

Mr. Sanborn has spent the majority of his 30-year professional career engaged in new business development, business and financial analysis, operational management, and private fund architecture and oversight for select Single and Multigenerational Family Offices. Before joining the management team of ExNihilo Ventures, a New York-based multi-generational family office that oversees the wealth of three generations of UHNW family members, Mr. Sanborn co-founded Raisol Capital. This boutique private equity group collaborates with entrepreneurs and stakeholders at an inflection point in their organizational growth. Raisol was a spinoff of assets previously assembled at Sterling Select. Sterling Select, the alternative investment platform of Sterling Equities, a multigenerational family office based in New York, was co-founded by Mr. Sanborn after he exited AIM Holdings, where he served as President and Chief Operations Officer. AIM’s consolidated holdings and investment platform made it the largest multimedia distribution conglomerate in North America. Previously, as a principal with Chardan Capital, Mr. Sanborn managed the development, launch, and go-to-market initiatives for various technology companies within the healthcare delivery, education, life sciences, and food service markets. His international experience with Domino’s Pizza International and Bridgetech Holdings International enabled him to initiate partnerships with the Chinese Ministry of Health to develop a national physician certification and education program, as well as with the Chinese Medical Association to co-develop a web-based medical education portal. Mr. Sanborn is also deeply committed to his social impact initiatives through his role as co-founder and CEO of Going Global Educational Collaborative. He has held advisory positions with the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Gerson Lehman Group's Council of Healthcare Advisors, and the Healthcare Information Management Systems Society. Before embarking on his professional career, Mr. Sanborn spent five years with the U.S. Navy Special Operations as an Aviation Rescue Swimmer and Anti-Submarine Warfare Specialist. He is married with three children and splits his time between New York and Abu Dhabi.
