Dimitris Psarrakis is Financial Economist. He is Senior Fellow of Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Board Director of GBBC, co- Founder of ValueVerse, and former European Union Financial Regulator. He served for seven years as Economic and Monetary Policy Specialist at the European Parliament. Dimitris is the draftsperson of the Blockchain Resolution that created the framework of the regulatory treatment of blockchain technology in the EU. He co- drafted the most of the Digital Finance Regulations of the EU, most importantly, the Crowdfunding Platforms Regulations and Titles 2 and 3 of the Markets in Crypto-Asset Regulation (MiCA). His last contribution before leaving the European Parliament was the DLT Pilot Regime, which focuses on the on-chain trading, clearing and settlement of tokenized financial instruments. Dimitris is co-author of two books on Digital Finance and Blockchain Economics. His professional and research work focuses on the financial economics of tokenization of value, market microstructure and regulatory design. He is graduate of the University of Chicago and Harvard University.
