Gurvinder Singh Ahluwalia is a computer scientist, systems thinker, builder, global executive and currently CEO of Digital Twin Labs based in the US. He forges new foundations for digital and physical infrastructure ecosystems and business models to produce breakthrough financial, economic, and societal outcomes. For this trust, he is called upon by private institutions, public sector, open source movements, non-profit foundations, national research labs, founders, and investors to steward their innovation, growth, and operations. Previously, Gurvinder was the CTO of IBM North America, a member of the IBM Academy of Technology and has held engineering and business executive roles at Texas Instruments, Accenture, Sun Microsystems, and Motorola. Gurvinder's distinguishing contributions to the industry include: He co-created proof of the use of blockchain for institutional use for the first time in the world, grew it to a $1B business at IBM, and spawned a global industry of $30B projected to grow at 50-70% CAGR by 2033. He deployed the world's first two AI, IoT, and Blockchain-based global trading, supply chain and provenance platforms for diamond for De Beers and Everledger shaping a $20B market projected to reach $1,200B by 2033. Gurvinder applied similar innovations to Maersk's container shipping ecosystem. He forged this pattern into global port management by adding $150M incremental valuation to Cargotec's $600M acquisition by Accel-KKR. Guri co-created the blueprint for first mortgage servicing release marketplace in capital markets based on modern methods and tech. He launched the first ever Linux-based consumer device to the US market forerunning the era of wireless handhelds and protocols. Gurvinder created a seminal strategy of RFID use in cosmetics for P&G culminating into the MIT AutoID initiative and industry-wide supply chain transformation. At the dawn of TCP, Gurvinder deployed the second largest commercial network of the world. Gurvinder is commonly invited to speak at venues, including: Davos, UN, WEF, US Department of State, Horasis, Hanyang University Korea, University College London, MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Google, World Food Congress, DP World Dubai and marque industry conferences. He has been an Advisor to Gates Foundation and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab. Guri earned an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, MS in Computer Science summa cum laude with thesis in Numerical Computation & Quadrature Analysis from Jackson State. He performed his graduate research at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and trained in AI at University of California Berkeley. Gurvinder's B.Sc. is from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi.
