He is an innovation and entrepreneurship consultant with over 20 years of practical experience working with entrepreneurs, startups, and SMEs both in Egypt and internationally. He is the founder of the Entrepreneurship Unit at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, which was established in 2012. During his work at the Ministry, he served in different positions, as head of Mangement of technology and entrepreneurship also, as the Head of Technical Support and the Entrepreneurship Unit, overseeing 13 technology centers across 13 industrial sectors. He has also worked in the private sector, NGOs, and universities, and he ran his own startups for four years. In 2017, he co-founded the NilePreneurs initiative and later established NP INCUBATE. He is the former Associate Director and Head of the Business Incubators Program at the NilePreneurs initiative, IECC, Nile University. He is a professor of Entrepreneurship at the Engineering School, Nile University. He earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Management of Technology (MOT) from Nile University, with a focus on the personal traits affecting the success or failure of Egyptian entrepreneurs. He worked as Operations Director at KD Group, which consists of four companies: Techne Company for Conference Management, Alex Angels Angel Investments, Mediterranean Investors Group, and Marked for Advocacy and Advertising. He is an alumni of the Professional Fellowship Program (PFP), funded by the U.S. State Department. As a fellow, he worked at the George Washington University Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIE), focusing on strategic partnerships and student entrepreneurial activities. He has mentored over 1,000 entrepreneurs, startups, and organizations both in Egypt and internationally, helping them build business models, systems, incubation programs, and facilitating matchmaking with investors.
