Erfan Ghofrani is a Financial Economist at the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE). Before joining WFE, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at ESADE Business School. His expertise lies in environmental economics, sustainable finance, and firm dynamics. Erfan holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University, specializing in uncertainty shocks and macroeconomic expectations. His research explores the intersection of environmental issues and supply-chain dynamics. His work includes analyzing global IPO trends and their key drivers, as well as studying the impact of stock exchange consolidation on market concentration and competitive dynamics. He has extensive teaching experience at both graduate and undergraduate levels, covering macroeconomics, corporate finance, and econometric methods at ESADE, Pompeu Fabra University, and Barcelona School of Economics. Erfan holds an M.Res. and an M.Sc. in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University and Barcelona School of Economics, respectively, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
