Mahra Al Suwaidi has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Horizon Energy LLC in Abu Dhabi since 2013, where she has played a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth through strategic business development, investment decision-making, and operational enhancements. Prior to her current role, Mahra was Vice President of the Treasury Unit at Mubadala Development Company LLC. In this capacity, she was responsible for overseeing the Business Continuity Plan and managing the insurance portfolio for Mubadala’s Healthcare Division. She also held board positions at MDC (RE) Insurance Limited and several other affiliated entities. Earlier in her career, Mahra was Senior Treasurer at Dolphin Energy Limited, where she led treasury operations across the UAE and Qatar. An active leader in the business community, Mahra is an elected member of several industry committees, including the Industry Working Group at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI). She also serves as a non-executive director for a number of organizations both within the UAE and internationally, including Arabian Gulf Steel Industries LLC. Mahra holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, specializing in Marketing, Banking, and Finance, from the American University of Sharjah.
