The Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA)

The Abuja Enterprise Agency is the FCT vehicle for wealth creation, employment generation, poverty eradication and value orientation with a mandate to facilitate business growth in the Federal Capital Territory.

The Agency focuses on the development of micro, small and medium enterprises and aims to assist new and existing entrepreneurs to overcome obstacles to growth through access to finance, proper business planning and developing entrepreneurship skills.

AEA has developed wide range of programmes covering Entrepreneurship Training and Curriculum Development, Business Advisory and Linkages Provision, Microcredit and Business Expansion Support, and Venture Creation and Regulatory Support.

The Agency has also setup two (2) liaison offices is in Gwagwalada and Bwari Area Council in line with the FCT Administration intention to improve service delivery. The liaison offices will provide specially designed developmental services to MSMEs in the Area Councils that addresses their specific needs and create a platform through which closer engagement with MSMEs in the FCT at the grass root level can be conducted.  This concept was bore out of the fact that there lies an untapped potential in the various Area Councils in the FCT. These liaison offices serve as the Agency’s contact to the people resident in these area councils.
