Kazakh Invest

Kazakh Invest, established by the Government of Kazakhstan in March 2017, is a key state entity responsible for promoting sustainable socio-economic development in the country. Its primary objective is to attract foreign investment into priority sectors of Kazakhstan's economy and provide comprehensive support for investment projects. The agency’s formation followed the renaming of KAZNEX INVEST, the National Export and Investment Agency, reflecting the country's renewed commitment to enhancing its investment climate.

The ownership of Kazakh Invest was transferred to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan by a Presidential Decree in December 2018, further streamlining the organization’s focus on international investment attraction. The agency operates with a strategic development plan that spans from 2018 to 2027, outlining key initiatives to facilitate foreign investment and drive Kazakhstan’s economic diversification.

Kazakh Invest’s mission revolves around bolstering Kazakhstan’s economy by drawing in foreign investment, particularly in sectors critical to the nation's long-term growth. These sectors include energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, agriculture, and technology. The agency not only works to attract investments but also provides extensive support to investors, including assistance with regulatory processes, identifying opportunities, and navigating local market conditions.

The agency envisions becoming the leading foreign investment agency in Central Asia, the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and other emerging economies. Through its strategic efforts, Kazakh Invest aims to position Kazakhstan as a top destination for international investments, leveraging the country’s favorable economic policies, strategic location, and abundant natural resources.

By focusing on high-potential sectors and offering tailored support for investors, Kazakh Invest is helping Kazakhstan realize its goal of becoming a more diversified and competitive economy on the global stage.
