Indonesian Employer's Association (APINDO)

The Employers Association of Indonesia (APINDO) is a membership-based employers’ organization in Indonesia. It was established in 1952 as a business organization which focuses on industrial relations and manpower afairs in Indonesia. Today, in addition to industrial relations, APINDO actively involves in advocating business sustainability and national economic issues at large to create better business and competitive investment climate in Indonesia.

Nation-wide, APINDO has over thousands corporate members. It has representative offices in all 34 provinces in Indonesia. APINDO is connected to various local business organization, government agencies and foreign government representatives in Indonesia. The organization’s international network also comprises various foreign business organizations at home and abroad.

APINDO keeps its members by keeping them at the cutting edge of business and political intelligence including training, market leading economic surveys and forecasts, influential research reports, and personalized email updates.

APINDO is an active member of the International Organization of Employers (IOE), ASEAN Confederation of Employers (ACE) and Confederation of Asia-Pacific Employers (CAPE).

APINDO has business unit to promotes and facilitates investment in Indonesia through the International Strategic Partnership Center (ISPC). It focusses on assisting in-bound investment and business matchmaking in Indonesia on professional basis. IPC services includes exchange of information on business opportunity in Indonesia, local partner search and matchmaking, market intelligence, investment consultation, and business advocacy on investment implementation issue.

APINDO has also several supporting bodies, as followed: APINDO Training Center (ATC) as a center of excellence, it provides best practices, training, and research to support the development of human capital in Indonesia. Besides, affiliated with Global Apprenticeship Network (GAN), APINDO recruited its member companies whose apprenticeship programs to be champions on apprenticeship programs. APINDO concerns and delivers its contribution on some issues such as advocacy on national social security, tax amnesty policy, and economic roadmap to National Leadership.
