The German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK) is part of a global network of German Chambers (AHKs) located at 140 locations in 92 countries worldwide. AHKs are co-funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK) and are closely connected to the Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHKs) in Germany. Together, they support German companies with building up and extending their business relations to foreign countries. The umbrella organization of the IHKs is the German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) which also coordinates and supports the AHKs. Furthermore, the cooperation with various German trade associations strengthens the link of AHKs to business and markets.
The German Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK) with its offices in Abu Dhabi and Dubai is coordinating the German Liaison Office for Economic Affairs in Iraq. Furthermore, it operates through representatives in Kuwait, Oman and Qatar. Pakistan is covered by a Country Desk Officer based in Dubai.
As members-driven bilateral trade and investment promotion organization, the AHK in the UAE acts as bridge between German companies and their local peers and functions as effective information and networking platform.
