The CIS Financial and Banking Council (CIS FBC) was established on the initiative of the CIS Executive Committee and a number of leading financial institutions of the Commonwealth of Independent States in December 2006 in order to intensify joint efforts to increase the role of financial integration in the economic cooperation of the Commonwealth countries.
Today, the founders and members of the CIS FBS include such leading financial institutions as: VEB.RF, VTB Bank (PJSC), Moscow Exchange PJSC, Belarusbank OJSC, Interstate Bank, International Bank of Azerbaijan OJSC and others.
Our tasks
- Promoting the expansion of economic cooperation in the Commonwealth space, establishing direct ties and dialogue between the business circles of the CIS countries;
- Assistance in the integration development of the financial markets of the CIS countries, including the search, development and implementation of investment projects and programs;
- Assistance in the development and implementation of innovative financial technologies in the Commonwealth space, which are of integration importance;
- Organization of forums, conferences, round tables on topical economic and financial issues;
- Information and analytical activities in the CIS.
