The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (established in 1895) is an independent, non-governmental association for the support, promotion, representation and protection of the economic interests of its members, contributing to the development of international economic cooperation and providing assistance for the European and international integration of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Court's activity is based on the principles of voluntary membership, autonomy and self-financing. BTPP strives to establish correct and ethical relationships among business circles.
The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the 28 Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry/Chambers are united in the Unified System of Bulgarian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, in which merchants, associations, etc. are members.
A Council of Branch Organizations has been established and functions at the BCPP. It was established on January 14, 1999. The main goals of the Council and its activities are aimed at supporting the dialogue between state institutions and business and leads to balancing the interests of branch organizations on the main problems related to the creation of a favorable climate for development of Bulgarian business. It has 88 branch organizations as members.
