Arab Women Investors Union

The Arab Women Investors Union (AWIU) was founded at the beginning of the second millennium by Dr. Hoda Galal Yassa. Originally focused on consolidating Arab relations, the union evolved to play a pivotal role in activating the business community and investors in the Arab world and Africa. With the issuance of Resolution No. 1272, the AWIU transformed into an Arab organization operating within the framework of the Arab League.

The primary objective of the AWIU is to enhance the role of Arab women in society by encouraging investment and developing economic relations among Arab countries. The union, comprising 20 Arab nations, operates through specialized committees, with a total of 33 committees addressing various aspects of its mission. Notable among these are the Businessmen Committee, established in 2015, and the Arab-African Youth Committee, established in 2016.

These committees align their efforts with a strategy focused on international cooperation, aiming to promote joint Arab action and comprehensive development. The AWIU's multifaceted approach encompasses economic development and social responsibility, with the ultimate goal of advancing both women and society in the Arab world and beyond.
