The UAE is now in the midst of developing network trades and investment partnerships. By evolving into a regional hub, the UAE is poised to gain wider access to global markets and, thereby, ultimately pursue new avenues of growth both locally and internationally.
This is the gist of the session that will be hosted by the Annual Investment Meeting 2022 on March 30th, 2022, at Dubai Exhibition Centre, EXPO 2020 Dubai - under the title of “Making UAE the Gateway to Global Trade and Investment”
That said, let’s raise an important question: What will this high-level gathering discuss?
Why AIM’s 50 Projects Initiative Pillar?
The Panelists at the AIM 2022’s 1st 50 Projects Initiative Pillar Session are H.E. Kartika Candra Negara, Consul General, The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia – Dubai; Dr. Aman Puri, Consul General, Consulate General of India, Dubai; Jean-Philippe Linteau, Consul General, Consulate General of Canada in Dubai; Lord Udny-Lister, UK Chair, UAE-UK Business Council ; Dr. Raphael Nagel, Founder and Chairman, The Abrahamic Business Circle; and Luis Alfonso De Alba Gongora, Ambassador, Embassy of Mexico.
They will explain to the session attendees why the AIM 2022 is bringing forward the new “50 Projects Initiative Pillar” and will, also, emphasize that one of the reasons is that the new pillar is expected to focus on supporting the UAE's ‘Projects of the 50’ initiative - that covers several sectors, including economy, entrepreneurship, advanced skills, digital economy in addition to space & advanced technologies.
That said, we’re facing another question that’s popping up.
Is The “50 Projects Initiative” UAE’s Gateway to Global Trade?
Well, to drive home their message, the AIM 2022’s 1st 50 Projects Initiative Pillar Session panelists are expected to cite the illuminating example of the “UAE Railway Program”, which is a fundamental part of the 50 Projects Initiative.
Launched with an investment worth AED 50 billion, the “UAE Railway Program” constitutes an integrated strategy for the railway sector in the UAE for the coming decades. Comprising a national network of railway projects that would link the nation’s 7 emirates and the key cities of the UAE, the program is expected to create economic opportunities amounting to AED 200 billion.
Notably, the session panelists will shed light upon the UAE Railway Program’s objectives, which include developing a sustainable road transport system that supports economic development in all sectors, including the environment, industry, and tourism; connecting the country’s key centers of industry and production; opening new trade routes; facilitating the movement of people; providing more than 9,000 jobs in the railway and supporting sectors by 2030; and, last but not least, reducing 70 to 80 percent of carbon emissions over the next 50 years.
