Roland W. Chalons-Browne was appointed CEO of Siemens Financial Services GmbH on February 1, 2010. Based in Munich, he is responsible for leading Siemens’ Financial Services business worldwide. In addition, Roland has been serving as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Risicom AG, Siemens' Reinsurance subsidiary, since February 1, 2010.
In December 2010, he also became the CEO of Siemens Bank GmbH.
Roland became CEO of Siemens Financial Services Inc. in the U.S. in October 2005. Based in Iselin, New Jersey, he was responsible for leading commercial finance and leasing business across North America and built up the project and structured finance business in the Americas.
Prior to joining Siemens, Roland worked for several international banks based in the Americas, in the United Kingdom and in Germany for over 25 years. During this time, his responsibilities included securitizations of future cash flows, transactions in film financing and natural resources, handling the project and structured finance needs of large conglomerates as well as providing financial services for large foreign multinationals conducting business in the U.S.
Roland is a graduate of the University of Manchester, England. He also completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Roland is a member of the Board of Directors of BritishAmerican Business.
